philips PQ 206 battery shaver (good): YIRISO Electric Razor for Men (terrible in comparison)

Both of these have the same user review rating, 4.4 stars out of 5 on amazon.
The Yiriso has "amazon's choice" endorsement. It seems to sell 5-10 times the volume of the philips.

I've used the philips as my every day facial hair shaver, for probably over 10 years,
philips PQ 206 battery shaver (two head rotary) about 20$
My first one still runs.
I bought the second one because I thought the blades might be slightly dull (manual recommends replacing after 2 years).
I didn't see that much of a better cut buying the second one.
The second unit lastedt 4 years and then the motor died.
So I thought I would try a different brand on the next shaver.
My usual filtering process for a purchase, when there is no clear recommendation from a trusted source,
is look at the amazon reviews, look for high ratings that aren't obviously gamed or bought
(farms can be hired to produce fake positive reviews for your product),

This one looked promising, it also got an "amazon's choice" endorsement, so I gave it a try.
(3 head rotary) about 30$
YIRISO Electric Razor for Men, Men’s Electric Shavers, Wet & Dry Shaver with Pop-up Trimmer, USB-C Rechargeable Waterproof Portable Shaver with LCD Display/Travel Organizer/Travel Lock Ideal Men Gift

Atter 3 weeks, I decided the yiriso is no good.
It yanked on my hairs painfully  a few too many times in 3 weeks,
and the battery was 80-90% full, motor running full speed.
I didn't feel any faster shaving time or better quality cut of this 3 head yiriso over my old 2 head philips.

So I figure, if a brand new battery on a yiriso is already feeling weak and underpowered after 3 weeks,
and if I'm getting razor burned (hair yanking painfully) several times already,
whereas with the 2 head philips, I maybe only get razor burned two or 3 times every 2 years.
This is poor product design.

I shave every other day, my diet is vegetarian close to vegan organic food, so my hair grows slowly,
and I shouldn't be getting any razor burns.
My shaving motions are with the grain of my hairs at first deliberately, to prevent any razor burn.
But using careful downward strokes, I got razor burned several times in 3 weeks with the yiriso already.

I took the time to write this detailed review,
because too many of the 1 star reviews on amazon don't give enough details of their situation,
so you really don't know if it's some really hairy guy with a several inch long beard complaining about a week motor,
or someone who shaves everyday asking the 3 head razor to give it the simplest job possible with easy low density thin hairs,
and still seeing it fail.
Even without razor burn, my face definitely felt more irritated than with the 2 head philips.
Maybe the first week I pushed the yiriso 3 header into my face a little harder because I'm experimenting with a new product,
but after that, I would use about the same amount of pressure of the 2 header for a fair comparison.

I wasn't happy with my philips only lasting 4 years,
but I can't complain about the comfort and quality of its shave.
Of course it's not going to give you as close a shave as a razor,
but for the rotary head shavers, I think it performs adequately.

What I like about it most, it's compact, takes rechrageable AA batteries,
I can take it camping with my portable solar panel chargers and extra AA batteries.
Using the shaver everyday, the batteries still last several months it seems before motor starts getting weak.

So while I'm not completely satisfied with the product durability of the philips,
I'm satisfied with its performance, and don't see any better alternatives.

People who write reviews on amazon, especially negative ones,
need to give more detail about their situations.
And also say, did you find a product that does work better? What is it?
99% of the reviews never seem to do that.

So the "amazons choice" endorsements, and people's reviews often end up not being so helpful.
